The Fine Print - Funway Tours

The terms and conditions contained in this Tour Participation Agreement (the “Agreement”) govern the relationship between you (the “traveler”) and Funway Travel and Tours.  By reserving a tour or other travel with Funway Travel and Tours (a “trip”), you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.

Unless otherwise specified, a non-refundable reservation deposit of $250 per person is required for all tours at the time of enrollment, which includes the services of Funway to secure your space on tour and defrays a portion of costs related to initial planning and preliminary reservations with airlines, hotels, and other suppliers that occur months, if not years before departure.  The reservation fee is fully refundable if you cancel within 72 hours of reserving the tour.  After 72 hours, the reservation deposit becomes non-refundable, and the Standard Cancellation Policy applies.  (See Cancellations and Modifications Section).

If you are booking 60 days or less prior to the tour’s schedule departure, you are required to pay in full at time of booking and all cancellation policies will immediately apply.

Requests for waitlisted space will be honored in the order the request is received.  Waitlisted space is not guaranteed and payment will be required at time the waitlist is cleared in accordance with the individual tour payment schedules.

Based on exchange rates, airfares, fuel prices/surcharges and land costs, all prices are subject to increase prior to the time of booking.  All prices are in U.S. dollars.  While Funway makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of its publications, it cannot be held responsible for typographical or printing errors (including prices).  All discounts, promotions, and sales are subject to the specific terms listed for that price.  All prices are subject to the terms and conditions of the individual service provider who reserves the right to adjust/amend prices at any time prior to reservation confirmation.

Unless otherwise specified, rates are listed per person based on double occupancy.  “Air inclusive” rates are based on current airfares and may vary by carrier and departure airport.  “Air inclusive” rates include airport departure fees, fuel surcharges, government fees, and taxes.  They do not include additional fees for advance seat assignments, baggage, carry-on fees, or other airline imposed ancillary charges.

Funway’s payment plans are set up to make paying for your travel experience easier.  Your Funway representative will work with you to tailor a payment plan that fits your or your group’s needs. 

NOTE:  All airline tickets MUST be paid for by credit card.  There are no exceptions to this rule.

 

Travelers may submit a check for trip payment.  A $45 fee will be charged for insufficient funds.  No reservations will be confirmed until the check payment has cleared by Funway’s bank.  This could delay processing of your reservations by up to 5 days.  NOTE: If a payment is returned for insufficient funds the account will go into non-payment status and some components of your trip may automatically cancel.

Payment by credit card is preferred and this option also allows Funway to set you or your group up on an automatic payment schedule. 

Automatic Payments

If you chose to have your payments made automatically, Funway will bill your credit card on the scheduled payment date for the amount provided in your payment schedule.  If you choose to set up automatic payments, please advise your Funway representative at time of booking so we can provide you with the necessary forms to complete this plan.

A deposit of $250 per person is required at time of tour enrollment unless otherwise stated in the tour brochure, tour webpage, or itinerary.

Final payment is due to Funway Travel & Tours no later than 120 days prior to your scheduled departure date.

Funway’s tours are designed in activity levels as reflected in the pacing, accommodations, activities/excursions, and other aspects of the tour. 

  • Level One – Suitable for families with children ages 5 – 18
  • Level Two – Designed for 18 – 35-years old
  • Level Three – Designed for ages 35+
  • Level Four – Seniors and/or individuals with limited mobility
  • Level Five – High impact for active individuals
  • Level Six – Pet Friendly! Bring your furry friend along.

While we endeavor to keep travel group sizes between 8 and 26 travelers, we make no representations or guarantees about travel group sizes.  Some tours may require as many as 56 travelers to operate motor coaches.

Funway does everything it can to keep the program price affordable without sacrificing quality.  One way we do this is to organize individuals and small groups to a tour size that will fill allocated spaces and cover the costs of transportation, Tour Director, local guides, etc.  As a result, group travel does require some flexibility in booking, departure planning, and operation of the tour.  In the event of low enrollment, Funway reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a tour.  If this happens, Funway will offer a comparable tour and/or departure date.  If no option is available, you are entitled to a refund of all monies paid.

If improvements can be made to your tour itinerary or unforeseen circumstances necessitate changes, Funway reserves the right to amend your itinerary prior to your departure and while on tour.  Reasons that may necessitate an itinerary change include but are not limited to local or national holidays, special events, severe weather, road closures, government orders or restrictions, or other unexpected conditions.  Funway will make every effort to minimize inconvenience for our travelers; however, such circumstances may require adjustments such as changing the order in which cities/sites are visited on your itinerary, altering your length of stay.  Other possible changes include departure, arrival or return dates.  On certain days especially holidays and special events, some tour inclusions such as historical sites, museums, castles, churches and shops may be closed or allow limited access.  If we are unable to adjust the itinerary to accommodate for local access restrictions, we will substitute different inclusions or provide a refund for any missed activity after your tour. 

You will be subject to Funway’s Standard Cancellation Policy (See Cancellations and Modifications) should you choose not to travel on a modified itinerary.  If you wish to change the date or destination of your tour, Funway must be notified no later than 100 days prior to departure.  After this time, additional fees will be incurred and changes may not be accepted.
